Batik Classic Game

Batik Classic Game
Editorial Review It doesn't take too long before things pile up in this Parents' Choice Gold Award winner. Two players take turns slipping light or dark wooden polygons into a clear, upright game board. The object is to force the opponent to drop a piece that sticks out above the board--no fair trying to push a piece back down! But it isn't always easy to place the thin, lightweight tiles successfully in the frame. As the various squares, triangles, and odd-shaped playing pieces drop upon each other in the nearly 7-inch frame, they're prone to slipping into unexpected positions. It all adds to the surprising fun and challenge of the game. At the end of each round, the losing piece is removed from the losing player's set; the first person to forfeit a turn due to a lack of pieces loses the match. --Liane Thomas
